In order to enroll in either the social skills program please contact the office to make an appointment for a screening. The screening process takes an hour and includes the child participating in one social skills class and a caregiver conference to gather more information and discuss recommendations.  The child will have their own staff member assigned to them for that session.  The following areas will be assessed during the screening: ability to participate in a group format, play skills (independent play skills, interactive play skills, symbolic play skills) conversational skills, and social behavior. 

Insurance Reimbursement

For those of you who may be interested in submitting receipts for insurance reimbursement please contact your individual insurance company in order to determine if you have an out- of – network speech therapy insurance benefit.  Your insurance company will require a diagnosis in order to provide reimbursement.  Documentation of the child’s diagnosis needs to be submitted for our records at the time of your screening.  In the event that the child does not have a diagnosis, a speech and language evaluation will need to be conducted to determine if there is a receptive or expressive language deficit present.
